The road Really deteriorated. The Yaris is pretty much an ATV.

There was some construction going on around the ruins. I remember they were (hopefully) trying to restore more parts of the ruins.

We were in Albuquerque on July quaternary. Fei's Cafe is a vegan buffet that was sadly closed for the Fourth.
But Mint Tulip was open! This was our first fourth dimension visiting Mint Tulip. We had lunch and then ice cream. So we went back later for milkshakes. Oh my! Vegan goodness galore!
Albuquerque had a big fireworks display that nosotros stayed for. We also had some fries and corn on the cob.

We spent the night at the Blarney Inn in Shamrock, TX. Only a wee chip of Ireland!

This was home for the night. The Blue Swallow Motel in Tucumcari, NM! We booked a room here two months in advance. This motel is always sold out. There was a mega surprise waiting for us at the Blue Eat when nosotros got in that location. They knew we were on our honeymoon and they fabricated information technology a memorable stay for united states. Eric and I both concord that this day was our favorite twenty-four hours on the trip! I tin can't await to tell yous about our stay at the Blue Swallow. I have a ton of pictures to share, and then I take a post dedicated to just the motel!

Right outside of Oklahoma Metropolis is a town called El Reno. This is the spot were a giant tornado killed three storm chasers this past tornado season. Eric and I were fans of the show, Storm Chasers, then nosotros were familiar with the men killed. Nosotros were only about a mile abroad so we decided to go pay our respects.
There was already a memorial setup for the tempest chasers. We left some of our wedding flowers for the guys.
