How to Unlock Horizon Zero Dawn's Aloy and Watcher
This page explains how to get the Horizon Zero Dawn collaboration items, Aloy's armor set, Aloy's Bow, and the Palico armor set that resembles a Watcher.

In order to get these, you must complete the following Event Quests:
- Lessons of the Wild, for Watcher Armor
- The Proving, for Aloy's equipment
These are rotating events exclusive to the PS4. Below are the currently known past, current, or upcoming dates for 2018.

How to Unlock Aloy and Aloy's Bow

The Proving, an Event Quest, is available for a limited time for PS4 players only. Completing the quest will reward you with one or two Nora Brave Trophy per completion, which are needed to forge Aloy's equipment.
You must be HR 11 in order to take on the collaboration Event Quest, The Proving, that rewards the Nora Brave Trophy. This quest is currently available until March 15, 2018, and will return at another unspecified date.
You need the following to forge Aloy's Armor Set:
- x4 Nora Brave Trophy
You need the following to forge Aloy's Bow:
- x2 Nora Brave Trophy

Follow the numbered instructions below for more details and tips!
1. Head Online
First, make sure you're connected to the internet. Event Quests are a sort of automatically added DLC. When you log in and collect your bonus, you'll receive a pop-up informing you event quests are available.
2. Accept the Event Quest
Go to any Quest Board and choose "Event Quests." The quest that needs to be completed to unlock Aloy's Armor and Bow is called The Proving. It's a 6* quest, which means you'll have to have be HR 11 to accept it.

3. Complete the Event Quest
You'll have to hunt a giant Anjanath to complete the quest.
This is also a sure-fire way to get a Gold Crown for Anjanath!
Anjanath is weakest to the Water element, but also takes moderately good damage from Thunder and Ice, as well as the ailments Poison, Paralysis, Sleep, and Stun. See Anjanath's page for more tips on how to defeat the T-Rex.
You'll have to complete The Proving Event Quest maximum 8 times to aquire enough Nora Brave Trophies, which are given in the Reward menu screen after completing the quest.
Each time you complete The Proving, you'll be given one or two Nora Brave Trophies.
We suggest capturing the Anjanath to make the quest time shorter, and to acquire extra Anjanath materials. Just make sure you break its face and try to cut off its tail!

4. Forge the Armor and Bow
Head to the forge with the 8 Nora Hunting Trophy you need, plus a plethora of Anjanath materials. Choose "Forge Equipment" => "Full Armor Sets."
You need the following materials to forge every piece of Aloy equipment:
Aloy's Armor Set:
- x4 Nora Brave Trophy (Received for completing The Proving)
- x14 Anjanath Pelt+
- x6 Anjanath Nosebone+
- x1 Anjanath Gem
Aloy's Bow:
- x2 Nora Brave Trophy
- x3 Anjanath Fang+
- x5 Monster Keenbones
- x1 Anjanath Plate
To Ugrade Aloy's Bow, you need:

- x2 Nora Brave Trophy
- x7 Anjanath Scale+
- x3 Elder Dragon Bone
- x1 Wyvern Gem
Elder Dragon Bones can be found by defeating: Nergigante, Kushala Daora, Teostra, or Vaal Hazak.
Wyvern Gems can be found by defeating: Barroth, Radobaan, Diablos, Tobi-Kadachi, Jyuratodus, Paolumu, and Lavasioth.
Aloy's Armor Set Stats
Aloy's armor is a Full Armor Set, which means it can only be equipped in full. This armor makes your character look like Aloy, regardless if you're male or female.
- Aloy Armor Defense: 231
- Aloy Armor Resistances: 5 for all

- Aloy Armor Skill List: Adrenaline, Stamina Cap Up, LV 2 Marathon Runner, LV 2 Stealth, LV 2 Slinger Capacity, LV 1 Affinity Sliding, LV 1 Weakness Exploit, LV 1 Scenthound
- Slots: Three LV 3 Slots, One LV 2 Slot, Three LV 1 Slot
Aloy's Bow Stats
Aloy's Bow, as well as the upgraded Aloy's War Bow, are both pretty decent weapons. These are especially more powerful with the use of a Release Jewel decoration, which grants the Free Elem/Ammo Up skill. Aloy's Armor Set allows you to decorate with two of these, unlocking 66% of the bow's hidden element.
How to Unlock Watcher Palico Armor
There are a few steps and hurdles you'll have to jump in order to get this armor set for your felyne friend.
This Event Quest has passed! Look for Lessons of the Wild under Event Quests in the future.

1. Head Online

Go to any Quest Board and choose "Event Quests." The quest that needs to be completed to unlock the Palico Watcher Armor is called Lessons of the Wild. It's a 5* quest, which means you'll have to have completed The Encroaching Anjanath Assigned Quest in order to accept it.
3. Complete the Quest
The quest requires you to defeat 8 Barnos, a type of flying Wingdrake. Bowguns and Bows can reach these monsters easily, but if you use a melee weapon, you can rely on the roaming Tzitzi-Ya-Ku to use its flash attack and knock them down. You can also bring your own Flash Pods to make quick work of the flying drakes.
Every time you finish the quest, you'll earn a Watcher Lens, the material needed to forge the Watcher Palico Armor.
4. Forge the Armor

Head to the forge to see what other materials you need, along with the Watcher Lens, to forge the Watcher Armor which should now be unlocked. You'll also need Dragonite Ore.
5. How to Get Dragonite Ore
Dragonite Ore is a rare type of ore that can be found as early as the Assigned Quest One For the History Books. You'll be able to mine Dragonite Ore during this special quest. After, you'll find it as soon as the Coral Highlands from mining nodes, particularly in areas 11 and 15. It can also be found in the Rotten Vale in areas 12 and 15. It's easier to come by in high rank quests, unlocked after completing the Assigned Quest A Colossal Task.
